Powerful Wellington hooker Tyrone Thompson, joined the Chiefs in his rookie Super Rugby season in 2022.
Known for his power and pace, Thompson completed his schooling in Hawke’s Bay before heading to Wellington.
Thompson made his provincial debut for the Lions in 2020 against Waikato at FMG Stadium Waikato.
He made his Chiefs debut early in the 2022 Super Rugby season against Moana Pasifika, where he also scored a try.
He signed with the Hawke's Bay Magpies for the 2022 Bunnings NPC season.
